Last year, I started going to interact meetings (as well as some other clubs) and volunteering at some of the events because my friend wanted me to. But then the crew season started and I really didn't have time to do any of that stuff anymore, and besides, it really wasn't for me. I did do some volunteering at the library this summer and last summer that I enjoyed. I also volunteered at a learn to row camp to teach middle schoolers how to row. I did this because I got to row to when people didn't show up, and I liked it because I love rowing, or even just being out on the water. But honestly: My time is precious, and next summer, I am going to use it doing a real job, one where I get paid. And if I still have time, I might volunteer to row again.
