The article i read was about Cheryl Perera who founded OneChild in Canada. OneChild is a nonprofit organization that helps stop the sexual exploitation of children. She knows about this first hand because when she lived in Sri Lanka a man tried to buy her. Cheryl had a tough time when it came to talking to the president of Sri Lanka but she was finally able to contact the advisor. At first Cheryl wasn't taken seriously but when the presidents advisor saw that she had valid information she was more cooperative. I think what Cheryl is doing because it is helping young girls who are involved in the sex trade. This program helps them recover and get a better start to life.

I also read this article. It really touched me that Cheryl is able to help forced child prostitutes. Im sure it is difficult for her knowing that she could have been in these children's positions. I think Cheryl is doing a great thing for helping these kids.

Just like you guys i also read this article. It was really interesting how far she is going to out to support this cause. It also shows how brave she is to put her in self in the kids place in order to arrest some of the men. Its also surprising to think shes doing all this at such a young age.

I too read this article. I couldn't believe that a girl at such a young age could reach out and help resolve this major issue in Canada. I know she can relate to the kids she is helping becasue she is close in age with them. She is doing an amazing job, and with people like her, we can stop a lot of problems in today's society.
